Violence knows no borders. It is a global problem which requires an interconnected response based on universal values of human rights and guided by nonviolence principles. Nonviolence Without Borders (NWB) is committed towards integration of ideas and action, to create a new global consciousness based on the philosophy of nonviolence. NWB is an effort to construct a transformative action rooted in the Gandhian heritage of nonviolence.
We believe that the challenges of our time, in particular the failure of the globalist approach based on economic principles, requires a new worldly vision, one that is based on our collective consciousness and empathy for each other and the mother Earth.
NVB follows this vision by developing the principles and practices of Gandhian nonviolence and by providing profound knowledge and understanding of the history and theory of nonviolence to children, teenagers, students, artists, technologists, politicians, environmentalists, and all those who can positively contribute to spreading the Gandhian message of tolerance, peace, democracy and biodiversity in the world.
To establish a value-based organization with cosmopolitan ambitions, capabilities, and measurable impacts, NVB will strive to promote nonviolence in broad areas like cultures of peace, climate crisis, mediation, and management of peace, among others.
NVB hopes to build a global culture of nonviolence in a world plagued by excessive violence and disregard for environmental challenges.
